Performance Art | Body Extensions | Drawing
J u l i a h i g g s
I am an Australian based artist living in rural Queensland. I’m interested in using my body to explore the world around me. This takes the form of experimental performance, drawing, performance-drawing and sculpture. I prioritise creative process rather than the end result, and often use bodily action to generate new works. My sculptural practice exhibits elements of play and wearable extensions and incorporates site-specific environments. I endeavor to develop new frontiers in contemporary drawing through community engagement and sustainable material choices.
